There seems to be so many topics that could be shared and discussed so much going on in the world right now. I am however drawn to something quite simple a getting back to basics really a reminder to reconnect to our selves.
In my work I have many people coming to me for answers they want to know whats going to happen in their lives with specific situations and they appear to be really disconnected with what is going on around them.
Life often seems to get in the way of living which is really quite a quandary. What if it didn’t need to be that challenging what if life could be simple, less stressful and fulfilling. What if we could be more present to our friends our families and ourselves. What if we could allow serendipity, flexibility and flow to be an everyday occurrence. Imagine how freeing that would be and the endless possibilities.
So how do we capture this elusive sense of being. Simple and its in the word ‘sense’ that we find the answer.
By connecting to our ‘senses’ we begin to open to what is around us we begin to feel, hear, sense, touch, smell and taste our lives in a rich connected vibrant alive manner. Things become clearer once we look at them in a clearer manner, sounds become messages to questions answered, smells elicit memories that capture the lessons we have learned along the way and touch reconnects us to others and ourselves.
When we stop to take notice more happens that makes sense and the more we do it the easier it becomes.
To begin pick a sense taste, touch, smell, sound, sight or inner knowing. Focus on that specific sense for an entire day take note of what it is telling you.
When you become more aware of the messages the world is sending you the answers become more apparent. Take the first step pick a sense and begin the journey back to you.
