It can be hard sometimes to know that we are on the right path. How can we be certain? What if we make a wrong turn? In my opinion there is no “right” or “wrong” path really, just one that may help you serve your life’s purpose better than another.
So how can signs help? How can we make sure we don’t miss any? Are they difficult to interpret?
For many years now I have been seeing butterflies at crucial moments in my life. Choosing a house to buy, a life partner or a new career. A butterfly will appear in front of me and hover for as long as it takes for me to see it and then simply flutter away. The difference between such occurrences and just an average everyday encounter is how it makes you feel. We all have intuition, but do we use it? Really that’s what it comes down to. A feeling that someone is trying to tell you something. Try to imagine who the message might be coming from? Whoever’s name pops into your head is usually the right one. For me the butterfly is a message from my mum’s mum. My Grandpa sends a Willy Wagtail.
Recently my fiance and I were having a look around a new estate. We studied a scale model and both liked the look of an unusually shaped lot. We decided to walk down the road and have a squiz. At that moment I noticed a butterfly hovering over my partner’s head and let out a squeal. Curious, he asked what was wrong, and as I was explaining about this butterfly it left the top of his head and went to his right side where it remained for the next 60 or so seconds, flying in time with his pace. Even he couldn’t ignore this curious visitor. Instantly I knew we would eventually be living on this exact block. Unfortunately it generally takes my “hubby to be” a bit longer to come around to my way of thinking. But here we are, our land is about to settle, we will be living in this estate by mid next year.
Seeing the butterfly just allows me to be certain that although I could choose any parcel of land my heart desires, there is one that is more suitable than the others. But to see signs, we need to keep our eyes and minds open. Also it’s vital to get some balance back into our lives. We need to give ourselves the space and time to notice signs that are often subtle. The more we notice, the more are sent.
